🔎 What It Is:
MS TEE ERW** refers to a Mild Steel (MS) Tee fitting manufactured using Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) pipe. It is used to branch a pipeline at 90° from the main run, allowing fluid flow in three directions — one inlet and two outlets (or vice versa).
📐 Breakdown of Terms:
MS – Mild Steel:
Cost-effective carbon steel, suitable for water, air, oil, and low-pressure applications.
TEE – A T-shaped pipe fitting with three ends:
Two in-line ends (run)
One perpendicular outlet (branch)
ERW – Electric Resistance Welded:
A manufacturing process where pipe edges are fused using electric resistance, producing a strong longitudinal weld seam.
Equal Tee – All three ends are the same size
Reducing Tee – Branch is smaller than run pipe
