🔎 What It Is:

A Buttwelded U Bend is a pipe fitting shaped like the letter “U” designed to change the direction of flow by 180°. It is welded to pipes by butt welding and used where a complete reversal of flow direction is required in a compact space. U bends are preferred over multiple elbows to reduce pressure drop and turbulence.
